Alcohol and Drug Testing

While the primary function of human resources specialists is typically thought of as interviewing and hiring individuals for positions within a company or organization, it is also the responsibility of such individuals to regulate and facilitate the enforcement of substance abuse policies. Many companies include mandatory drug testing as a part of the interview process. To ensure that individuals continue to adhere to policies banning the use of illegal drugs after being hired, many companies continue mandatory random drug tests throughout the employee’s tenure.
